ThinkIFA Guide To ‘Personal Finance Apps’

Finance Apps
If you are particularly fond of a financial app which is not listed here then we would love to hear from you.

Just fill in our contact form with the details of the app and why you like it so much and we will happily consider it for inclusion below.

Money4Jobs

Money4Jobs

Platform: iphone
Price: $0.99 (around £0.60 – £0.70)

We strongly believe in the importance of educating our children about money and finance and this app goes a long way towards this.

It allows both children and parents to join forces to create their very own list of ways in which the child can earn their pocket money and help keep track of their progress.

Once a task has been completed, the child can then send the parent a payment notification (yes that’s correct, the child can invoice their parent!).

The only negative we can find with this app is that sadly it is not available for android devices.

Easy Books App

Easy Books

Platform: iphone
Price: Free Demo (120 transactions) then £11.99 – £20.99

This is a professional invoicing, book keeping and time tracking financial app which is especially suitable for smaller businesses and those that work from home.

Easy Books enables you to keep track of all your bank accounts, purchase & sales invoices, expenses, earnings & assets (including the depreciation).

You can also perform very detailed reports which can be exported in html for use with applications such as Excel.

We particularly like the lock feature which locks the app and can only be opened by typing in a four digit code.

Powerone Finance Calculator App

Powerone Finance Calculator

Platform: iphone, android
Price: £2.99 for iphone (lite edition is free) or £3.07 for android

Yes we know it is just a calculator but this is likely to be the most comprehensive calculator you will ever use.

It has pretty much everything covered when it comes to sums and complicated maths including mortgage, finance, investing, fractions, conversions and a whole lot more.

With literally hundreds of pre-installed spreadsheet-like calculator templates which pretty much cover every single ‘what if’ financial scenario, you would be hard pushed to find a better or more comprehensive calculator app.

Toshl Finance is a user friendly personal finance app designed to help save you money by being able to track your expenses and income with ease.

Aesthetically we love the app and it’s little monsters and one of the best points is that you can choose from a huge range of currencies so it can therefore be used whilst you are abroad.

You can set up regular monthly reminders for all your bills and you can also export your finances/budgets into a pdf, csv, google docs or excell file.
